i understand how you’re feeling.
We’ve all got a TON of knowledge in our heads from everything we’ve read, everything we’ve heard, and everything we’ve experienced. But how many times do you say to yourself, “I know I SHOULD…” or “Why can’t I just…” do the thing you know you should do?
I spent years and years reading self-development books, attending webinars and classes and all the rest, without making any substantial change in my life. I wondered why it was so hard to change!
As I started to study how the brain works, I learned why it’s so difficult to change.
It’s because your brain wants to conserve energy and protect you, and that means sticking with the status quo–even if the status quo isn’t benefitting you, or is even hurting you.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that I also discovered how to overcome the brain’s attempts to protect you from anything new that requires effort.
The key to is to make small changes over time so that your brain doesn’t go into a state of alarm and self-sabotage.

Weekly Action Items, directly to your inbox.
In the Environmental Club, I’ll email you an action item every week to help you retrain your brain. The action items will be a supplement to the blog post for the week so that you can put what you learn into immediate action. Instead of reading the blog post and thinking, “Hmm, that’s interesting,” or “Wow, I really need to try that!” (but then not doing anything), you’ll be able to put what you learn into practice immediately, and easily.
You’ll be able to:
- Remember 90% of what you read (instead of only 10%) because you’ll be putting your knowledge into ACTION
- Make one small change each week instead of trying to make big changes that take a lot of time and effort.
- Retrain your subconscious mind so that your thoughts don’t default to negative, unhelpful patterns.

How to Retrain Your Subconscious
By the time you were eight years old, your subconscious mind had been programmed. Unless you have intentionally retrained your subconscious, you’re still running off that old programming. (It’s like using a Commodore 64 computer!)
With my simple plan, you’ll utilize three daily practices to install new, healthy programming in your brain–programming that YOU choose.

- Start making new neural pathways that will lead you away from habitual negativity.
